Tips for hair growth
We all know how male pattern baldness can affect your self esteem. ActiFolic has done a lot of research in preventing hair loss. We want to share some tips and tricks with you with this blog.
All men produce testosterone. Via the 5 alpha reductase enzyme, testosterone converts to DHT. DHT is responsible for the male characteristics like beard growth, a deep voice, body hair, muscle mass and so on. DHT also causes your hair follicles to shrink due to DHT causing fibrosis in the scalp. When fibcrosis occurs, calcium builds up in the scalp, causing a decreased bloodflow (hypoxia) to the hair follicles. When the hair follicle has a reduced blood flow, the follicle will receive less oxygen and nutrients and will eventually shrink. This is thinning of the hair. If the hair follicle is weak enough, the hair will fall out and cause baldness.
Lucky enough we can do something about scalp fibrosis. With daily detumescence massages, you can break up the fibrosis and increase the blood flow to the hair follicles. In the video below, Chris Gault demonstrates how to perform the detumescence scalp massages.
Another way to increase blood flow to the hair follicles is micro needle therapy. A micro needle roller is a roller with very tiny needles, causing micro injuries in the skin. Because of these micro injuries, the blood flow and thus oxygen and nutrient transport to the treated area increases.
ActiFolic has formulated a Hair Regrowth Serum to use after micro needle therapy. The Hair Regrowth Serum contains only scientifically proven ingredients that regrow hair. When applied after micro needling, the Hair Regrowth Serum will be absorbed deep into the scalp and cause hairs to regrow. Below we have a patient’s hair line with tiny hairs, showing hair regrowth.
You can buy a micro needle roller in our webshop.
Daily scalp massages will stimulate the bloodflow in your scalp. This way, oxygen and nutrients will be delivered to the hair follicles, resulting in stonger and healthier hair.
